Untrammelled Space is the common terminology for the galactic halo of the Wider Galaxy, seen by those in the Star Empire (and other Wider Galaxy polities) as a wild, lawless, and especially exotic and bizarre clime. The region is poorly documented and even more poorly understood, and is legally considered as wild and unsettled as the sheer vacuums of intergalactic space.
