Coronium

Coronium is a whole class of alloys of Iron, Copper, and Zinc which have the common properties of aetheric tactility and phlogiston wetting. These two properties drive their entire economic significance as underpinnings of the space travel, consumer technologies, and energy economy of the Star Empire of Galba Roy.

In general, there are two classes of Coronium:

• High Grade Coronium, which must be produced under extreme conditions for which low stellar orbits are ideal. High Grade Coronium is an outright requirement for certain advanced technologies, most especially for use in shipbuilding; absolutely required for faster than light travel and aetheric tractors.
• Low Grade Coronium, which is suitable for production under the Stanley-Hemmingway Process (though still occasionally produced on traditional Solar Rigs), and is suitable for use in phlogistonics.
